What should you consider when making a mascot teddy bear?
The hardest part of making a plush mascot is capturing the character's “spirit.” Flat artwork must be divided into pattern pieces so that, once stuffed, the face and shape of the character still match the original design. The factory makes a real sample for the brand to approve before production.
- Accurate brand colors: fabric colors are matched against the brand's color codes.
- Sharp facial details: eyes, mouth and signature details are done with Tajima computerized embroidery, keeping their color after many washes.
- Consistency across sizes: one character can be made into a large display teddy bear, small teddy bears as gifts, keychains and hugging pillows for the same campaign.
What are plush mascots used for?
Gifts for loyal customers, product giveaways, event and trade fair items, and souvenirs sold in stores or on e-commerce platforms. See the mascot products the factory has made in brand mascots.
